Hazelnut oil (see Appendix 2A) is clinically shown to increase hydration by up to 30% in 28 days, reinforce the skin barrier, and deliver antioxidants that protect against collagen breakdown and glycation - key processes in skin laxity after weight loss or high-sugar diets. Its astringency and anti-inflammatory properties help tighten and soothe skin, supporting visible firmness and reduced stretch marks.

Pomegranate seed oil (see Appendix 2B) is rich in punicic acid and polyphenols, stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis, reinforcing the barrier, and providing potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection. It has been shown to promote keratinocyte proliferation, thicken the epidermis, and inhibit collagenase and elastase, directly supporting firmer, more elastic skin and reducing crepeyness and sagging.

The essential oil complex - including geranium, lemongrass, grapefruit, ylang ylang, frankincense, and rose damascena - targets the main biological pathways responsible for maintaining skin structure and resilience (Appendix 2D). Geranium and lemongrass oils robustly inhibit collagenase and elastase, protecting the proteins that keep skin firm and elastic. Frankincense and rose damascena further inhibit matrix-degrading enzymes and hyaluronidase, preserving both the protein framework and hydration. Ylang ylang and lemongrass enhance hydration and barrier integrity, while grapefruit oil supports microcirculation and tissue tone, refining contours and reducing puffiness.
